Alexander M. Knighton (I have never seen more than the middle initial) was my husband's 2nd. Great grandfather. Your paternal great grandmother Ola was a half-sister of Mary Jane (Mollie). Mollie and her husband Reuben Jones married while he was on furlough from the Randolph Co. Georgia Guards on 7 Jan. 1862. They moved to Grayson County, Texas in 1869, and Reuben died 4 March...

05/03: Letter from Sara Jones to Linda Morgan Clark, 7-24-96

Dear Linda

I was so happy to get your letter with all the interesting information, but you would never know how much I appreciate it by my slow reply. Our daughter and her children are staying with us now until she can find a house to rent near her work. She teaches at Anna Elm. School, and has had a busy summer, so I haven’t been able to find time to answer your letter until late at night and by that time, I’m not thinking very well. It is believed that James Milton Morgan is buried here. There may be other family members buried here as well and I am in contact with someone who is photographing the cemetery.
