I ask Bobby Meadows to give me a more detailed description of the location of the Eliza Carter headstone and how it might be related to either Neighbors' or Meadows' graves, since the Neighbors, Meadows and Carters were all neighbors in the 1880 Rockford, Coosa County Census of 1880. Note that he mentions "Dr. Bob". This is Bob Neighbors who heads up the preservation fund of the Fish Pond Primitive Baptist Church and Cemetery.
He sent this and a partial transcription of the deed from Ransom Meadows to the Fish Pond Primitive Baptist Church:

Bobby Meadows sent some new photos that he thought might be of interest to Morgans.

Ok something doesn't add up. Is this our Sarah Jane Carter who was married to James Milton Morgan? If so, then the marriage record that you found in the past in 1851, makes her around 8 when she was married?
Or is this a sister?
I'm confused.
Marc.

04/24: Fish Pond trip
So I think I have acquired a weekend pass from the wife to go to Alabama. So now I would like help from everyone to make sure the trip is as efficient and useful as possible.
My plan is to fly from Houston, TX to Birmingham, AL on a Thursday night. One of the things that I learned from my trip to Granbury is that every tourist trap was open on the weekend. But libraries and court houses were closed. So I think it will be important to have at least one full weekday available to check locations that will be...
