01/27: Morgan Marriages in Coosa County, AL 1834-1865

At the moment, four Morgan cousins are trying to make connections to James Milton Morgan's parents. I thought it might me helpful to list the marriages in Coosa County, AL for the period 1834-1865, so perhaps we can pinpoint some collateral lines and thus perhaps find some more information. I am gleaning this data from Coosa County, Alabama Marriage Records, published by the Coosa County Historical Society:

Morgan, Augustus C. and A. Maria Smith, 17 Sept, 1852

Morgan, Curry (Casey?) and Mayan F. Manning, 8 Jan. 1856

And since I’d seen somewhere that Mr. Argo was from Tallapoosa, I figured I’d found fresh tracks. So I posted a question to her about whether or not she knew about Henry Dallas Argo or his ancestors. I got this response:

I am glad to see you have been making ample use of the site I worked so long and hard on, finally figuring out a way to share it with the world. But remember you should always put the source so if people have questions they can later reach me for clarification or any changes to my research or even with additions. I would appreciate that.
